Daybook

Outside my window...
The sun is shining, the birds are singing - it's a beautiful day. I'm happy to have the opportunity to get outside to enjoy it a bit.

I am thinking...
I have some goals I'd like to accomplish this summer, and already I am starting to plan out what I'd like to do. The first Monday of a new month is a glorious thing, isn't it?

I am thankful...
That I have the unceasing support of my family and friends. It's true, in hard times, you find out who matters most.

In the kitchen...

I've been really enjoying some new recipes I've been trying. You will have to stay tuned this week for my shrimp scampi spring fettuccine with peas, as well as my stuffed pepper skillet. Both are quick, healthy, and delicious.

I am wearing...
A sleeveless top! I almost don't believe it, after the winter we had.

I am creating...
Lists and plans and so many goals. I always struggle with the follow through, but I'm hoping this time will be the time it sticks.

I am going...
To Raleigh, NC at the end of the month. If you have any tourist recommendations, shoot them my way!

I am wondering...
About the gardening for the year, and whether I've made a grave mistake starting zucchini seedlings indoors. We're still eating through the frozen remnants from last summer. Oops.

I am reading...
Still reading a few pages at a time - The Widow Clicquot: The Story of a Champagne Empire and the Woman Who Ruled It by Tilar Mazzeo. I think this is being sold back to half-price books when I'm done with it. Interesting, but not gripping.

I am hoping...
That I am able to deal with a few personal intentions this week. It's been a difficult time the past few days.

I am looking forward to...
Accomplishing the goals I set for myself this week. Keeping it simple.

I am learning...
That God always has a plan, and that sometimes His plan doesn't always line up with yours.

Around the house...
Spring cleaning is still underway, and I love the calm feeling of a decluttered room. Clutter = stress!

I am pondering...
How I can take the time I've been given to use it to its maximum capacity and grow as a person.

I am praying...
For a personal intention - I'll share soon, but right now, I'm still working on getting over the sting. I don't mean to be mysterious. But right now, could you keep me in your thoughts?

A favorite quote for today...
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
- Jeremiah 29:11

One of my favorite things...
It sounds gross and it looks gross, but I cannot live without my Amazing Grass green superfood powder. A little scoop of it in my morning juice, and I've got energy for the whole day. It's amazing what real food can do for you.

A few plans for the rest of the week:
Working on personal improvement and that private intention I'm not quite ready to share..

A peek into my day...

Isn't spring the most perfect gift after a miserable winter? Spending my day today delighting in God's glory.
