Top Ten Tuesday: Motivation

I'm struggling this week with motivation and self-discipline. To help rev my mental engine, I though this week's Top Ten Tuesday should be devoted to motivational quotes and sayings that I've collected through the years. It's a short week this week, I know we all can make it to Friday!

Norman Vincent Peale:
Believe in yourself! Have faith in your abilities! Without a humble but reasonable confidence in your own powers you cannot be successful or happy.

 Napoleon Hill:
Whatever the mind of man can conceive and believe, it can achieve.

Buddha:
The mind is everything. What you think you become.

Ralph Waldo Emerson:
The only person you are destined to become is the person you decide to be.

Confucius:
It does not matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop.

Henry Stanley Haskins:
What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.

Abraham Joshua Heschel:
Self-respect is the root of discipline: The sense of dignity grows with the ability to say no to oneself.

Jim Rohn:
Discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishment.

Jacqueline Bisset:
Character contributes to beauty. It fortifies a woman as her youth fades. A mode of conduct, a standard of courage, discipline, fortitude, and integrity can do a great deal to make a woman beautiful.

Henry David Thoreau:
What you get by achieving your goals is not as important as what you become by achieving your goals.
